Questions and answers

What does beta mean here?

Damruvani runs on Model 1 (beta). Quality is still improving, some languages carry a Beta label, and audio is for non-commercial use.

Can I use the audio commercially?

Not during the beta. Commercial use arrives with Model 2.

How are credits counted?

1 credit = 1 spoken akshar (grapheme). Tags, speaker names and extra spaces are free; Fast mode costs half.

How many emotions can I use?

It depends on your plan: Free 4, Starter 8, Creator and up 12.

Which languages can I write in?

38 Indian languages. Languages that are still being tuned are marked Beta.

Is Hinglish a separate language?

No — pick Hindi and write Hinglish the way you speak.

Is the audio labelled as AI-generated?

Yes. Audio made with Damruvani is AI-generated, and the Studio labels it that way.

How we count this

38 Indian languages: every language we offer on Model 1 (beta). 9 of them carry a Beta label until native speakers sign off their quality.

Credits: we count the akshar (graphemes) you will hear, so a conjunct counts once. Tags, speaker names and extra spaces are free.

For example, each of these counts as one akshar:ક્ષश्री

Emotions per plan come from the plan table: Free 4, Starter 8, Creator and up 12.
